Four groups of people benefit from coaching video summaries
Coaching summary videos, such as the ones we make for the Service Design Master of the HSLU, offer a multitude of unique benefits that make them a significant asset in the coaching community.
It’s a win for the coachee: they get a summarised version of the coaching and can even « steal » elements from the other coaching sessions.
It’s a win for the coach: you do a synthesis exercise, which is obviously always welcome to sharpen your practice.
It’s a win for people interested in coaching: they can experience it before they’re ready to commit.
It’s a win for the community: as we get more insights and knowledge shared to the community :)

How to quickly shoot and edit coaching video summaries
Those coaching summary videos aren’t that hard to do for me because:
I already do remote coaching, so I already have a webcam and mic, I can use the same setup
I already take some visual notes during your coaching session with Miro. This means I already have the key points of what I could say, I just need to select two or three points I'll share in the video.
I do them right after the coaching sessions. Things are still fresh in my mind.
I use Descript to record it and then quickly get out of it the « filler words », « blank moments ». It makes the editing super fast.
