My two cents

I can't answer this question with hard facts as there isn't much publicly available data about Service Design in Switzerland. But I can share a few of the patterns I've been noticing:

  • Tourism: Service Design in Switzerland is often taught by institutions specialized in Tourism like HEVs and FHGR and the tourism industry is pretty big in Switzerland.

  • Pharma, Insurance and Finance: Based on the job posts I've seen these three industries seemed to hire a bunch of Service Designer in the last years.

  • Consultancies: Service Designers make good consultants in the marketing, design and innovation agencies.
