A bit of context
The Civic Service Design is an organization focused on making public services more effective and more accessible to New Yorkers.
What I like about it
The process is pretty simple to understand abs I think that’s one of its big strength. In fact the titles of the stages don’t feel like the usual academic designery jargon words but instead they feel like tips that a friend would give. For example, “Try things out” is really way more natural that the fancy “prototyping” world for the majority of people out there.
The team behind the Civic Service Design process also does a great job by documenting all the different stages of the process with à in depth blog article. You’ll find those blog posts on their home page.
Go deeper
If you want to go deeper I suggest you read the blog post What is civic design? published by the team where you can also find direct links to the blog posts that detail each stage of their service design process. By the way, I first found the image of their service design process on this page.
